National Acclaim
The SVA is a regional development authority that has received national acclaim as the most effective state program focused on saving manufacturing jobs and businesses. The SVA represents the City of Pittsburgh and 11 municipalities in the Mon Valley, and our staff and advisors work regionally and nationally with a focus on building bridges to Jobs,Community and Capital.
Made in Pennsylvania
For almost %BC of a century, the SVA has been helping workers and their families, manufacturers and small business leaders, and communities. Growing from a response to the traumatic loss of manufacturing jobs in Pittsburgh and the Mon Valley, the SVA has grown into an innovative and entrepreneurial program saving American manufacturing jobs.
Building on its success, SVA has expanded its presence with offices in Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre and a fourth office planned for Philadelphia. The Strategic Early Warning Network (SEWN) is saving jobs and turning around critical manufacturing firms every day, one company at a time, in 67 counties across the state. SEWN has helped nearly 700 manufacturing clients-at-risk, saving over 15,800 good jobs at almost 200 businesses.
