Often, a company’s sheer will to survive and re-build is amazing, such as that of Cook Technologies Inc. in Montgomery County.  The company was founded by the Cook brothers over 70 years ago, and became a major contract manufacturer in the medical device, aerospace, printing, copier and precision metal parts industries.  When it came time to retire, the Cook family decided to pass the company to its employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), with a management employee to lead the organization on behalf of the ESOP group.
